How to play on your Minecraft server from your phone (Bedrock)
Join a server from Minecraft on Android, iPhone or Windows. Works with Bedrock servers, and with Java servers that have Geyser installed.

Minecraft on phones, tablets, Windows (the Microsoft Store version) and consoles is called Bedrock Edition. It can't join a normal Java server by itself, but there are two easy ways to play together.
Which setup do you need?
| Your group plays on | Use |
|---|---|
| Only phones, tablets or Windows Bedrock | A Bedrock server |
| A mix of PC Java and phones | A Java server (Paper) with the Geyser and Floodgate plugins |
Mods only work on Java, so if you want mods, choose Java. Bedrock players then join through Geyser, but they can't use mods that need to be installed on the player's side.
Option 1: a Bedrock server
Ask support to set your server up as Bedrock, or choose a Bedrock plan if one is offered at checkout. Then:
- Open your server in the panel and copy the address and port from the Console page.
- On your phone, open Minecraft and tap Play.
- Open the Servers tab, scroll down and tap Add Server.
- Enter a name, paste the address into Server Address (without the port) and type the number after the colon into Port.
- Tap Save, then tap the server to join.
Option 2: Java server with Geyser
- In the panel, open Plugins and install Geyser and Floodgate. Floodgate lets Bedrock players join without a Java account.
- Restart the server.
- Geyser needs its own port for Bedrock players. Ask the AI assistant "I need a port for Geyser", or open a ticket, and we add one for you.
- Bedrock players add the server like in Option 1, using the Geyser port.
Bedrock players show up in the game with a dot before their name, for example .Budi123. Use that name with whitelist add and op.
Playing on Xbox, PlayStation or Switch
Consoles only show their own featured servers and can't add a custom server directly. Joining is possible with a workaround through a phone or friends list. Open a ticket and we will help you set it up.
Can't connect?
- Check that you typed the port into the Port field, not after the address.
- Update Minecraft on the phone. Bedrock must match the server's version closely.
- On Option 2, make sure Geyser is running: the console shows
Started Geyserafter a restart.
