How to join your Minecraft server on Java Edition
Find your server address in the panel, add it in Minecraft's Multiplayer menu and share it with friends. Plus fixes when you can't connect.

To join your server you only need its address. Everyone you share it with can join the same way, unless you turn on the whitelist.
1. Find your server address
Open your server in the control panel. The address is shown on the Console page. It is a host name followed by a colon and a port number, like play.rexifyhosting.xyz:25565.
Copy the whole address, including the part after the colon. The number is your server's own port, and Minecraft can't find the server without it.
2. Make sure the server is on
On the console page, press Start if the server is offline. Wait until the console shows a line like Done (12.345s)! For help, type "help". That means it is ready.
3. Add the server in Minecraft
- Open Minecraft Java Edition and choose Multiplayer.
- Click Add Server.
- Type any name, for example "Family server".
- Paste the address into Server Address.
- Click Done, then double-click the server in the list to join.
Your friends do exactly the same with the address you send them.
Use the same Minecraft version
Your Minecraft launcher must use the same version as the server. The panel's Versions page shows which version your server runs. In the official launcher, open Installations, click New installation and pick that version.
If your server has mods, every player also needs the same mods installed. See How to install mods on your Minecraft server.
